Our Philosophy:

We support green technologies as the preferred methods for construction, the use of renewable materials, and to consider energy savings. We believe that when it comes to building or renovating we ought to respect the environment and the site's surroundings, thus a designer's prime responsibility is to be a leader in materializing these strategies. RGS promotes Infill development, recycle and reuse of buildings and materials, reduced use or recycle of water, and the improvement of the interior air quality. 

We actively uphold these principles through organizations such as THE NATIONAL TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION & The U.S GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL. Through membership at he National Trust we hope to advance preservation and renovation of historic structures that are worth saving, retrofiting and repurposing to avoid costly demolitions and rebuilding, because there is no cheapest and greenest building than the one does not have to be built. Through the Green Building Council (USGBC) we maintain focus on the leading techonlogies to build sustainable. Today both organizations collaborate in preserving and certifying structures so if there is need to build, do it responsibly. Their aim as well as ours is to conserve natural resources, reduce energy consumption, minimize the impact on the environment, and improve the health of buildings occupants. We encourage owners and builders to adopt these alternatives, as a guide for their project's approach.
